MIRA Quatro Park Offers Gap Analysis Service after Securing UKAS Accreditation for Flexible Scopes
MIRA Quatro Park – the largest independent environmental test facility in the UK, which is based in Basildon, Essex – has extended its service offering in the global automotive, motorsport, rail, defence, aerospace and energy sectors by securing UKAS accreditation for BS EN ISO 17025 Flexible Scopes.
The announcement means that MIRA Quatro Park is now able to self-assess and accredit environmental test work for tests that are within their capability envelope, but not on their existing scope, by carrying out gap analysis to help customers achieve certification.
UKAS Flexible Scopes accreditation will enable specialists at the Quatro Park site to significantly shorten the time taken for customers to achieve the necessary certification of their products before they can be sold in the UK. The development also exemplifies MIRA’s continued commitment towards maintaining the highest levels of quality and continually developing the service it offers to its customers.
Eamonn Martin, Laboratory Manager at MIRA Quatro Park, said,
“This is a milestone we have been working towards for two years and as a testing laboratory we are pleased to be awarded this by UKAS as it shows our processes and disciplines are very thorough and robust.”“We have a long-established reputation as the leading partner of choice for vehicle-driven attributes engineering. Complementing our deep engineering expertise in this field, this new investment further strengthens our position and enables us to increasingly lead the way in engineering solutions for the rapidly changing needs of future mobility.”
The new VI-grade DiM250 will be commissioned and ready for use as part of vehicle attribute engineering services at HORIBA MIRA from Q1 2023For further information on MIRA Quatro Park, its capabilities and UKAS Flexible Scopes accreditation, please visit www.mira.co.uk or contact 01268 290100.
