With over 14 facilities the flexibility of our cutting-edge cluster is a unique offering that is delivering globally significant R&D and commercial programmes in safety, security and connectivity for our worldwide client base.

Ranging from workshops and screened labs for static and dynamic vehicle testing, attack labs and system level labs through to our city circuit allowing the safe assessment of vulnerabilities in a controlled real-world environment, this cluster underpins the delivery of globally significant automotive cybersecurity, safety and connectivity excellence.

Our purpose built Vehicle Resilience Technology Centre includes:

  • Innovation Lab – 100m2 primary workshop providing a collaborative environment for R&D and delivery programmes with fully configurable vehicle and component work areas and labs. 

  • Connectivity Lab – Multi-discipline screened laboratory for RF related activities including cybersecurity and connectivity.

  • Systems Lab – 64m2 fully configurable laboratory split over 2 independent levels for cybersecurity penetration testing and advanced connectivity test development.

  • Dynamics Lab – 100m2 secondary workshop providing a collaborative environment for R&D and delivery programmes with fully configurable vehicle and component work areas and labs. Including the ability to test vehicles in a dynamic mode of operation and a fume laboratory for toxic processes.

Dedicated component and vehicle level facilities and workshops for Automotive Cybersecurity, Electromagnetic Resilience and Safety related engineering and test. These facilities include:

    • Eavesdropping for privacy/attack assessments

    • Vehicle electromagnetic emissions and immunity

    • Immunity of ADAS and automated driving functions

  • Three screened component chambers

    • Component level wireless/wired network penetration testing

    • Immunity of ADAS and automated driving sub-systems

    • Signal integrity of in-vehicle networks

Finally, our City Circuit Facility and other Proving Ground Facilities provide a safe, comprehensive and fully controllable connected city environment dedicated to the testing, validation and demonstration of co-operative systems in an urban and suburban environment. This facility allows the safe assessment of automotive cybersecurity vulnerabilities in a controlled real-world environment and connectivity performance assessments in poor signal conditions such as urban canyons, etc.
