Alexeis Garcia-Perez, Professor of Management Information Systems, Centre for Business in Society, Coventry University.

Prof Alexeis Garcia-Perez is a Professor of Management Information Systems at the Centre for Business in Society of Coventry University, where he leads the Data, Organisations and Society Research Group. He is also a Visiting Research Scholar at Georgetown University (USA) since 2017.

A PhD in Information Systems from Cranfield University complemented his original background in Computer Science. This sociotechnical understanding of information technologies and systems has informed Prof Garcia-Perez’s work on cyber security, risk management, privacy and data-driven innovation. He has led transport research projects with funding from bodies including the European Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport, the Railway Safety and Standards Board and Network Rail.

Prof Garcia-Perez has been course director for programmes such as an MBA in Cyber Security Management, and serves as a cybersecurity advisor for a number of UK and international bodies. He has published widely, including 3 Emerald books and over 100 research papers.
