HORIBA MIRA Honours Long Serving Employees at Awards Dinner

Sixty HORIBA MIRA employees were each presented with a Long Service award for their outstanding
contributions in a range of roles across the business, from Technicians to Senior Managers and Directors.

One of the longest standing employees to receive an award was Michael Cooper, who has been with the business since 1975. After starting as a Garage Mechanic over 40 years ago, Michael is now a Senior Technician in the Research Build and Operations department.  Also recognised during the awards was Simon Aldworth, who started with the company in 1995 as a Graduate Trainee in the Powertrain division. Twenty years later, Simon is now a Vehicle Dynamics Consultant.

Simon Aldworth, Vehicle Dynamics Consultant at HORIBA MIRA, said:

“It was a real honour to receive this award. Having started as a graduate, it feels great to be able to say that I have spent my entire working career so far at HORIBA MIRA.”

Dr. George Gillespie OBE, CEO of HORIBA MIRA, said:

“As an engineering consultancy and test centre, we simply could not be where we are today without the hard work and innovation of our employees. It gives me great pride to be able to honour our longest serving employees for their dedication to the business and I want to thank them for their commitment and service to HORIBA MIRA to date.”
