HORIBA MIRA can provide full Electric Vehicle Safety and REESS testing and Type Approval services for UN ECE Regulation 100.
Type Approval to UN ECE Regulation 100.02 is mandatory for the vast majority of new vehicle types in Europe.
The Regulation covers electrical safety and consists of two parts:
- Part I: Requirements of a Vehicle with Regard to its Electrical Safety
- Part II: Requirements of a Rechargeable Electrical Energy Storage System (REESS) with Regard to Safety
As a Technical Service of the Dutch RDW, HORIBA MIRA can provide test and certification services to both parts of the Regulation.
The vehicle test service can accommodate all vehicle categories from light passenger vehicles to heavy goods vehicles and double-decker buses on our Nuneaton site. Alternatively, certification engineers can witness testing at manufacturers’ premises or third-party laboratories anywhere in the world.
Our REESS testing capability in the UK builds on significant experience of testing battery packs to global standards, including UN 38.3 for prestige vehicle manufacturers and motorsport teams.
