MACE consists of a number of drop-in boxes that enable a ground platform to be unmanned. MACE is used for both bespoke UGVs such as MACE2 and VIKING and to convert conventional manned vehicles such as PANAMA.

MIRA’s MACE components consist of a set of modules that enable a range of unmanned operational modes. Modes of operation supported include:

• Line of sight remote – minimal conversion system, no cameras
• Tele-operation – remote control using cameras
• Autonomy – route planning, obstacle detection and avoidance
