HORIBA’s commitment to environmental measurement started in 1945 with the development of our first pH meter. Eight decades later, we remain at the forefront of precision instrumentation and regulatory compliance.

In 2025, we opened the HORIBA Analytical Solution Plaza at the MIRA Technology Park. This state-of-the-art demonstration facility showcases HORIBA’s cross-sector instruments, technologies, and applications – including those relevant to the UK water sector. It represents our ongoing investment in UK innovation and customer collaboration.

Today, as the UK water sector faces unprecedented scrutiny, we offer a uniquely credible solution. Our experience in automotive, medical, and semiconductor sectors has shaped a robust platform for real-time monitoring, tailored for the complexities of clean and wastewater management.

With over 100km of test surfaces, our Proving Ground offers the idea site to study road-run-off, its sources, its constituents, its impacts and its countermeasures.  This field is an ideal example of cross-sector interaction and how HORIBA can contribute to solving these complex challenges.
