INDIAN OEM – Systems Integration and Control Development for EV bus

Case Study Overview

A leading Indian OEM intends to develop their EV Bus capability with a running vehicle after 9 months, through support from HORIBA MIRA in Design Validation Planning (DVP) & Testing, as well as the development & integration of Control Software (VCU) and Electrical/Electronic Systems in accordance with ISO26262.

Successes and Benefits

  • Programme positively delivered to schedule with mileage accumulation trials and homologation starting on time.
  • Successful commissioning of swap-battery and fast charging EV Bus variants, OEM won a tender order in the state of Gujarat-India, with a bid for a 50-bus programme.
  • EV Knowledge transfer in full EV development process increases OEM’s EV capability for the future.
  • Functional Safety Concept delivered in line with ISO 26262.

HORIBA MIRA provided full support, from requirements capture and system design, to hardware build and software implementation (MIL/HIL). Additionally, full knowledge transfer to the OEM and extended support after delivery ensures the development of the OEM’s skills in key areas related to EVs.
