Cybersecurity HiL Rig and Test Execution Support

Case Study Overview

New UNECE regulations R155 & R156 place extra requirements on demonstrating repeatable test scenarios for cybersecurity related engineering features and functions.

We provided external support to develop a whole vehicle labcar-based HiL test rig, along with specific ECU mini-rigs to support their needs, along with test execution.

Successes and Benefits

  • Following our support, the customer now has multiple ECU cybersecurity test set-ups, with their plant model integrated and adapted to support the cybersecurity testing / test environment. This provides an efficient and consistent solution they can maintain over life without the need for an expensive prototype vehicle.
  • Providing a single location featuring a HiL test environment and cybersecurity development teams means shake-down and development issues are quickly solved and rectified.

As well as specialist cybersecurity test hardware / software  and methods, we also helped with overall HiL integration.
